How Cookie Monkey Was Born 10/08/2009
Not too long ago, I started on a journey to discover my passion. I wanted to expand my horizons and start “working” on something I was truly motivated and passionate about…something that fulfilled me and those around me…which is how Cookie Monkey was born. But, first let me back up. I always loved to bake, I am a sweets fanatic (to me, nothing is better or harder to resist than a mouth-watering chocolate chip cookie). So, a few years ago started experimenting with a family cookie recipe to create a “healthier” yet super-delicious version, that wouldn’t feel so guilty after all those hours in the gym. So, I started baking my cookie creations for friends’ birthdays, special events, and work functions. And people went crazy for them- they really are delicious, if I do say so myself. From there, the cookies started becoming the “specially requested” deserts at these events. Then, one day in particular I was told by someone who tasted them for the first time, “you should sell these.” And then that’s when the light bulb went off. See, I was killing myself to find my passion, when it was right in front of me the whole time. This is what I love to do, and my goal in creating Cookie Monkey is to share my love for baking, delicious cookies and passion with the world (or at least Miami for now)…. If you sell a cookie with the Bills logo on it though, I will have to recommend you move your cookie operation to New York. I am a huge cookie fan, but these don't leave me feeling like I overindulged in something unhealthy. Keep up the great work! Leave a Reply |
